The Blindsave knee pads with the hard paddings were my first Blindsave product. The pads offer a high level of comfort: despite of being advertised as "hard paddings", it feels like kneeing on a pillow! My knees don't hurt after practice/game even when we practice on a hard underground. The pads are large, so you can adjust them to your own comfort (put them higher up or lower down). First, the pads began to slip down, but I started using additional velcro straps from ice hockey to fix the pads very tight to my thighs. I really appreciate is the soft neoprene-like cover which does not hurt rub on my knee pit and thighs like my previous paddings. Another advantage are the different sizes: because the circumference of my upper legs is pretty big the "one size fits all" option of many other brands are way to small for me. The XL-size offers the level of comfort and fitting I need. The perfect fittings allows me quick lateral movements and I will not slip in my paddins. This definately will help me making saves. I also bought the soft paddings. Both, hard and soft paddings, fit into the same "neoprene shell". On hard undergrounds I prefer the hard paddings, on a modern well sprung floor I use the soft ones. All-in-all I use the hard paddings more often.
Full marks for Blindsave on thei soft pad knee pads They really do stay in place They are comfy My knees aren't as sore Less rubbing / friction burns AND you can remove / replace the padding!
You can't even begin to compare these to any pads on the market. Top notch! I use the soft ones (weighing about 82-85kg) and have no problems with them. The pads are excellent. I can handle long practices and intense matches without them sliding down or causing "rash" around the knee. I'll only give them 4,5 stars because the straps will "stretch" over time to a thinner strap (hard to explain), and pretty quickly too, which is kinda of a bad thing. Doesn't feel as comfortable as when i started using them... But during practices, I hardly notice it anyways :) Still better than any other pads!
We all know knee pads, we all need those and we all have opinions on those. Well here is my opinion about Blindsave knee pads (soft pad). First of all it is a great idea to have removable pads. The soft pad is very fat. Extremely suitable for goalies in the weight range of 90kg and up. At the beginning i felt i was flying and my balance was off but like mentioned in goods description you have to use the item in 2-4 practices and it will take your knee shape. Well now it did with me and the knee pad is absolutely awesome. It doesn't slide and it hasn't caused any rash damage to my knee etc. I am looking forward to test the hard pad as i am more of a technical goalie with my movement so it will be interesting to see witch i like better. Well anyway this knee pad so far is the best that i have personally used and i have used many different ones...
I have been using other knee pads from other brands for several years. I was skeptikal at first about all that fuss and craze about "blindsave knee pads, they are so good" but i was curious and tried them. Oh man, "blindsave knee pads, they are so good" really... Best investment 2014. When you'll try, you'll never go back.
